Road Traffic Collision Officers attended a single vehicle road traffic collision where a vehicle left the carriageway and collided with a tree. Thankfully, all occupants escaped with only minor injuries. The driver however has been reported for a number of driving offences.Shoplifting Enquiries CCTV enquiries have been carried out at several shops within Consett following reports of multiple shoplifting offences. Enquiries remain ongoing to identify those responsible.Vehicle Seizure PCSO Rutherford attended Langley Park and seized a motorbike which had been stolen a number of months prior in Northumbria. This was after Police had been made aware of a post on social media.Working alongside our colleagues at Durham City Police, PCSO Hart and PCSO Rutherford seized a Silver Toyota Rav which has been involved in several incidents across County Durham. The investigation is ongoing.PCSO Rutherford and PCSO Dixon attended Esh Winning where a stolen bike was located and seized. This bike was stolen from Ushaw Moor at the begninning of May. Enquiries are ongoing.Anti-social Behaviour PCSO Hart and PCSO Rutherford have issued a Community Protection Warning to a female for harassing her neighbours.Electronic Tag Breach PC Thompson and PCSO Hart arrested a male for breaching his electronic monitoring tag. He will be put in front of the first available court.Public Order Incident Officers from the Consett Neighbourhood Team attended reports of a large disturbance on a residential street. One male was arrested on suspicion of assault. Investigation is currently ongoing.Vehicle Seizure – Anti-Social Driving PC Guy and PC Curtis seized a vehicle after it was observed being driven in an anti-social manner. The driver had previously been issued a Traffic 183 warning and had been clearly advised of the consequences. Unfortunately, this advice was not taken on board and the vehicle was seized under section 59.Arson Incidents – Town Centre Following recent incidents involving fires being set across Consett Town Centre, a youth has been identified and interviewed. Due to clear CCTV evidence, the individual quickly admitted the offence and has now been referred to the Youth Offending Team.Community Engagement On Saturday PC Thompson, PCSO Hart and CSC Daniels attended the Burnhope Gala to celebrate the 100th anniversary. It was so nice to see and speak to loads of people!
